Italy 2017 GDP growth may top 1.4% forecast - Bank of Italy

Italy's gross domestic product growth this year could come in slightly better than the 1.4% expected, said Bank of Italy deputy director general Luigi Signorini in a Senate hearing on the update to the budget. "The projections that we published in the economic bulletin in July foresee a GDP growth of 1.4% in 2017 and slightly less in the two subsequent years. The information that has been made available over the past few weeks suggest that the result for this year could be slightly better," he said. RADIOCOR
