History


Lemanik's founding member, Cesare Sagramoso, who had acquired extensive experience in the international banking and financial sector, moved to Switzerland in the '70's, which gave rise to the development of the company, which had its first headquarters in Geneva.The name of the company derives from Geneva and its lake "Leman", a name that was kept even after the operations were relocated to Lugano and Luxembourg.

1971
Lemanik S.A. was founded in Geneva specialised in wealth management advisory services for institutional clients.

1993
Setup of Lemanik Asset Management S.A. in Luxembourg to create financial solutions dedicated to private and institutional investors.

1993
Lemanik creates its first Luxembourg-domiciled umbrella SICAV and setup sub-funds dedicated to HNWI and institutional investors.

2006
The various businesses are combined under the Lemanik Group.

2006
Lemanik opens an office in Luxembourg to establish its own substance.

2007
Lemanik decides to promote its substance, governance and risk management infrastructure to 3rd party funds.

2011
Significant investments into the Management Company business are made in terms of technology, personnel and organisational structure to comply with the UCITS IV directive.

2013
Lemanik has become one of the largest 3rd party Management Companies in the Luxembourg fund industry with $25 billion assets under management.
